In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    margarine     jar     chopping board     butter      pea sized    

 

You need

One piece of bread, butter, jam jar, knife

 

 

  1. Spread a pea sized amount of butter on the bread.
  2. Spread a teaspoon of jam on the bread.
  3. Then put the lid on the bread.
  4. Cut the bread into triangles.
  5. Eat it.
