In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    piece     some     butter     margarine     jar     chopping board

 

What you need:

Chopping board or a plate

2 pieces of bread

Some jam and margarine

 

  1. Use a chopping board.
  2. Get a pea sized amount of margarine and jam.
  3. Get a knife and spread the margarine and jam.
  4. When you’re spreading out the margarine and jam use the knife.
  5. Put one of the pieces of bread on the other piece.
  6. When you have finished spreading you cut it in 4 with the knife.
  7. Eat it!
