In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    piece     some     butter     margarine     jar     chopping board

 

You need:

Get 2 pieces of bread, jam jar, butter, chopping board, knife and the kitchen.

 

  1. Put a pea sized amount of jam on your bread, using your knife.
  2. Then put the pea sized amount of butter on the other bread.
  3. Then you put the bread together.
  4. Then you cut it.
  5. Then you eat it.
  6. Then your finished.
