In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    tablespoon     butter     chopping board  

 

You need 1 piece of bread. You need 1 tablespoon of butter. You need 1 tablespoon of jam.  You need a knife. You need a plate.  You need a tablespoon.

 

  1. Put the piece of bread on the plate.
  2. Use the knife to spread the butter.
  3. Then spread the jam with the knife.
  4. Now you put the pieces of bread together.
  5. Cut the bread in two halves.
  6. Then eat it.
