In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    piece     some     butter     margarine     jar     chopping board

 

You need two pieces of bread and you need 2 teaspoons of jam. I teaspoon of margarine.  A knife full of butter.

 

  1. You need to put it on the table.
  2. Spread margarine on to the bread.
  3. Spread jam on to the bread
  4. Put the bread on top of the margarine and on top of the jam too.
  5. Cut in half the bread.
  6. The you can eat it.
