In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

 

Word Bank

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    piece     bench     table     margarine     jar     chopping board     blunt

 

You will need 2 pieces of bread and 1 chopping board, 1 blunt knife and a jar of jam.

 

  1. Do this on the bench or table.
  2. Get 1 of the pieces of the bread.
  3. With the piece of bread put it on the chopping board.
  4. Then with the blunt knife carefully spread the tablespoon of jam you need.
