In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

Bread     knife     spread     jam     jar     tablespoon     butter     chopping board     teaspoon

 

 

You need two bread, a knife, jam, chopping board, teaspoon. 

 

  1. You need to put the bread on the chopping board.
  2. You need to spread a teaspoon of butter on your two pieces of bread, with a knife.
  3. Spread the teaspoon of jam on the sandwich.
  4. Put the other piece of bread over the other piece of bread.
  5. Cut the sandwich with the knife in half
  6. Eat it!
