In class we have been learning how to write instructions.  As a class we wrote instructions on how to clean your teeth.  Then we wrote our own instructions on how to make a jam sandwich. 

 

The success criteria for writing instructions are:

Today we made our sandwiches following our own instructions.  I thought about my instructions as I made my sandwich and if I needed to make changes I did these in red.

I believe I have very good instructions now and invite you to use them to make your own sandwich!

 

WALT: How to make a jam sandwich

Bread     knife     spread     jam    teaspoon    piece     some     butter     margarine     jar     chopping board     together     cut     put     strawberry

 

2 pieces of bread

1 teaspoon of butter

1 teaspoon of jam

Strawberry jam

Teaspoon

Knife

The bench

 

  1. Spread the butter with a knife on the bread.
  2. Spread jam on the bread.
  3. Put the bread together.
  4. Cut the bread into triangles with a knife.
  5. Eat it.
