An introduction
Principals message:

Ngatapa School is a small rural school nestled amongst the rolling hills on the outskirts of Gisborne. Our wonderful students range from Years 0 to 8.

Our enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative teaching staff offer our students stimulating and innovative teaching and learning programmes aimed at addressing the learning needs of each child.

Our class and resource rooms are equipped with an array of fantastic resources to aid teaching and learning right across the curriculum. We ensure that ICT is integrated into all teaching so as to prepare the students for their future ahead.

We provide a caring environment that encourages personal excellence and a feeling of success. We take great efforts to ensure that positive virtues are taught, encouraged and exhibited throughout the school.

We are blessed with a wonderfully supportive Board and community. The local hall is located on school grounds and is regularly enjoyed by the school, playgroup, and community, as well as other groups and organisations on occasion.

As principal I practice an open door policy and encourage parents and the community to participate in the education of the their children through regular school contact.

I thank you for considering Ngatapa School and welcome your queries or questions, and look forward to meeting you soon.

Teresa Scott
(Principal)
